1            Things Change

It feels like yesterday when we had our first son Chet, and now he’s seven years old.  This song is a reminder to make the most of every day with your loved ones because life can change so quickly.

2            Pretty Katalina

This song is a happy tribute to Camille’s late Grandmother who, bless her heart, passed away in June 2011, a week before we were headed in to the studio to record the new album.  That night, after we heard the sad news of her passing, we took out a beautiful photo of her taken when she was around 20 years old, on a beach in her homeland of Samoa with her sister.  They were dressed like true Island girls with their lavalava and lei playing the ukelele.  The song says it all.

3            These Days

After a conversation with an older friend, we wrote this song reflecting on the old fashion values when it comes to love, marriage and commitment.

4            Hey Heart

A little twist on how a lifelong relationship can start.  And how close it might have come to not starting!  You’ve got to trust your gut feelings.

5            Choices

A friend’s son tried to take his own life and it really hit home for us.  Who knows, one day we could be in the same situation.  So now is the time to help your children build the strength and confidence to tackle this big world.

6            New Day

Don’t sweat the small stuff because tomorrow is a new day.  This is as close as we come to writing a lullaby.

7            The First Time (Danny O'Keefe/Fred Koller)

No matter who you are, this song will relate and the words will bring back a lot memories, good and bad.    Things you may never mention to anybody but they’re things you’ll never forget.

8            Beverley Joy

“Beverley Joy” was the first song we ever wrote together back in 2007.   Camille never got to meet Stuie’s Mum, Bev, as she passed away before we met.  Stuie managed to capture lots of footage of his Mum back in the 80’s just being herself around the house.  At the time everyone would complain about the camera, but now it’s irreplaceable and was well worth the effort.    So in this song, we’re having a conversation with her and saying what a good job she did of raising six kids.

9            Gone for all Money

Two boys and then a baby girl – say no more.  Daddy got his little wish and our daughter has him right where she wants him.

10            Little Years

It was the night before Chets’ (our eldest boy) fourth birthday and we were reflecting on what a great year we’d had with him and how much we were enjoying this time in our lives.  Stuie, being the sentimentalist jotted down these words, and two years later we wrote the bridge to finish the song.   Every day the words in this song become truer.    We might get a Kleenex tissues endorsement out of this one!

11            Learning

A tongue in cheek standard hillbilly issue – a fun look at the trials and tribulations of a relationship, and this time it’s ours.  The idea of the song came after a ‘pre-marriage counseling session’.  In that session we had to find three things that we did not like about each other.  The results were quite amusing, and that night we wrote this song.   Thank you Minister!

12            Waves  (Sam Baker)

When this song was recorded it went down exactly as you hear it, in one take.  And at the end of it, there were a few tears thinking about Camille’s late father.  We changed a couple of words so the song would be a tribute to her parents.
